Santa Monica is a combination of some terrific and very different neighborhoods!
Sunset Park is a wonderful area of tree-lined street with modest homes and lots of kids. It is at the southern portion of Santa Monica and is adjacent to the Main Street shopping area and downtown Santa Monica with the mall, the 3rd Street Promenade and much more.
Ocean Park is a trendy and fun area (Main Street is right in the middle of it). Ocean Park is mostly condos and townhomes; some charming vintage buildings and some sparkling architectural beauties.
Go North of Wilshire and you will find condos and townhomes galore on lovely tree-lined streets; close to the ever-so-stylish Montana Avenue shopping and eating area and still an easy walk to downtown Santa Monica with the Promenade and mall.
In the college streets North of Wilshire you'll find a neighborhood of single family homes a little more modestly priced than North of Montana.
Go still further North and you?ll be North of Montana, an affluent neighborhood of vintage post-WWII homes and beautiful and opulent new homes.
Santa Monica Canyon is a world-of-its-own. Tucked away in the canyon that separates Santa Monica from Pacific Palisades, it is rustic and charming. Many of the hillside properties afford wonderful ocean views.
