The climate is, I think, the best on the planet! As a 15-year resident, I can only tell you that this is a wonderful place to live. There are several districts of Santa Monica: Montana Avenue, a trendy & fun shopping and eating district. 3rd Street Promenade, a fun and exhilarating stretch of shops, restaurants, movie theaters and a major mall! It has street artists dancing and playing great music on every block! Main Street is a wonder, more low-key district. It, too, has great shops and restaurants.
We are a small city with our own government and public transportation system.
Our northern border is with Pacific Palisades and Brentwood; Our southern border is with Venice; Our eastern border is with West LA and our western border is with the Pacific Ocean!
We have had a tremendous influx of the entertainment industry which has given a shot-in-the-arm to our already robust economy.
Our much-sought-after schools are, in part, responsible for our perpetually strong real estate market.
